More overlap checks within my Dividend & Value sleeve: MSCI World Value duplicates about 90% of what I hold in Vanguard (5.71% of my total portfolio), and small-position TDIV duplicates 97% of Vanguard (2.3% of the total). I keep TDIV anyway - it pulls my regional allocation closer to target despite the overlap.

Overlap between ETFs - Part 1

I built my own tool to check overlap between my four largest equity ETFs (64% of the portfolio). Xtrackers S&P 500 vs MSCI World Value overlaps just 9.73%, but MSCI World Value vs MSCI World ex USA comes to 31.82% - three times higher. Nothing to act on yet, but worth no all is perfect.

Returns for stocks and bonds

What are stocks and bonds actually expected to return, region by region? History favours the US for stocks; current valuations favour Europe for the next decade. Bonds show fewer differences: European yields have caught up to US yields, but Eurozone inflation eats more of that nominal return. Asia and emerging markets offer no reliable trend.
